Curious about making your own CBD or THC infused meals? Discover the benefits of cooking with Cannabinoids, and check out these easy recipes to get started.

You can find CBD just about everywhere in a range of product types and flavors. Some varieties you expect, like tinctures and topicals. Others are a bit weirder, like Flamin Hot Weetohs  and CBD chewing gum. Whatever your preference, you have no shortage of options to reap the benefits of CBD. But have you considered DIY snacks and beverages? CBD-infused foods and drinks are a delicious and increasingly popular method of ingestion. Why pay for gourmet infusions when you can cook with CBD at home?

The Benefits of Cooking with Cannabinoids

Eating isn’t the only way to introduce active cannabinoids like CBD and THC into your body, but it’s probably the most enjoyable method. CBD and THC edibles pack scrumptious flavor, while delivering the same benefits you receive from more earthy-tasting oils. Plus you can control exactly how much you want to ingest without having to worry about false labels on consumer products.

Compared to inhalation, eating takes longer to affect you because the THC or CBD must go through the digestive tract and liver first. But once the cannabinoids enter your bloodstream via edibles, you’ll feel a stronger effect that lasts longer than other methods. When it comes to CBD, the key is consistency.

When you make CBD a daily habit, you’re much more likely to feel sustained effects. Think of this like incorporating more vegetables into your diet. You might not notice a difference after one day, but you’ll start feeling increasingly more healthy and energetic over time, with regular use.

Luckily CBD and THC recipes can be much more flavorful than your standard collard greens. Plus, cooking with CBD at home is a fun and easy way to stay consistent, choose the foods you love, and reap the benefits you desire. Along the way, you’ll have fun experimenting with different flavors and textures.
